Dor steelsworth strutted into her bedroom picking up her handbag as she went, and taking one last look in her mirror "Buggering 'ell you're going to get those men tonight Dorothy" she shouted whipping her hands into the air. "Dor shut up..." Dixie muttered from her room next door "Its 8 at night".
Dor curled a purple nail painted finger through her blonde hair "Shh you'll understand when you're legal babe".
Dixie craned her head to her sister "If you haven't noticed I'm 17"
The 1986 calendar pinned to Dixies wall suddenly dropped off the wall with a flutter, the pin must of come loose again.
Dixie steelsworth sat perched on her stone window ledge quietly letting the harsh breeze drift around her atmospherically.
She stared down at the aged bricks that made up her ancient families house and sighed as her blonde hair whipped in her face.
Evermore conkers and acorns fell continiously to the leaf infested ground of her orange garden while Dixie watched the cold sun set on this victorian house surrounded once by a luxurious garden of bright flowers and emerald leaves, a garden that was now falling to bits.
This, however was July 1986.

It began and ended with a word.
Not a particularly strong or powerful word, but a word that changed everything. It wasn't too long or difficult to spell. It wasn't uncommon either. In fact, it was a perfectly ordinary word, but, I suppose, its commonplace origin is what made it so special.
I loved that word.
But the word doesn't mean much without the story along with it and I was always one for telling good stories.
I ignored the call from the other room and remained seated. That tone wasn't unfamiliar. Taking a bite from my toast, I waited for him to call again. It wouldn't be more than ten—
