I had SO MUCH fun today at Doki Doki Manchester. It was my first con thats smaller than MCM so I wasn't really sure what to expect but damn it lived up to my expectations. Nice array of stalls, great cosplayers who were all really genuinely nice people, everything you could really want from a con minus the annoying lines like at MCM! Only nack is that it's in November and not summer so heres me in just a t-shirt, no bra and shorts....yup. I was coooolddd! I mean I dont wear a bra anyway but still, awkwarddd!
When I next cosplay Lucy I'm hopefully gonna go for the outfit she wears when she fights nana (pink turtle neck under the red shirt and yellow skirt) seen as its really cute.
I woke up at 6:30 this morning to get ready so I'm writing this quite late, I'm absolutely shattered.
My dad couldn't drive me to the train station so I had to order a taxi to take me to the train station so that was like 5 quid down the drain. Then I got a child return on the train cos I look about 12 woop.
When I walked up to the venue there wasn't that many people waiting so I was relieved that it wasn't going to be a MCM line haha.
Then I met Andy and Rima inside and we looked around and I bought Full Moon O Sagashite volumes 5 and 7 because thats the only ones they had but it was £1 for two! Bargain motherfucka!
We entered the drawing contest too, and there was this really cute Miku cosplayer with her dad, she must have been about 10 but I love it when I see children cosplaying, its so cute ~
I didn't win anything but its the partaking that counts I guess :3
I bought some other stuff too, I bought a Miku lanyard for uni and a Higurashi Mion chibi figure that Andy lent me some money towards (bab arigatou desu). We also had a pizza and it was magical because it was peperoni (also courtesy of Andy-san lOL).
Then it was the cosplay competition! There were so many brilliant cosplays in it! I didn't win anything but I had so much fun up on stage so I'm not complaining
. I uploaded a picture of me on stage which you can find in my gallery.
All in all I've had a really good day and I won't forget it in a long time :3 Bring on MCM Manchester 2014!
